The revolution continues online
At least one person associated with the GSC occupation is trying to portray the occupation as a success. The blogger repeats in different words: “We leave not to retreat but to plan further modes of escalation.” I can image the meeting where that decision took place:
Hey guys, the occupation has been going great. It’s going so good that it’s time to move on to phase 2. What’s phase 2 you ask? Well it’s the most cunning and brilliant part. We leave the GSC, and start planning. I know what some of you are thinking “Why is phase two of our current planned occupation to scrap the occupation and get a new plan?” The fact of the matter is that all great revolutions really get going and escalate when they stop whatever they are doing, disband, and then have a planning pot luck. Viva la revolution! I’ll bring the couscous.

are you going to retract this when these folks take another action? or just pretend like they are not the same people? or try to argue you never said any of this?

I find this comment hilarious. Both of Duhhhh’s posts on this site are ad hominem and then he proceeds to bash people that make ad hominem attacks. Brilliant!
Personally I can’t wait for the next phase. What blundering action will be the next incarnation of the revolution take? To constantly say that the next action is the one that will work and that the current failure is really a cunning scheme to lay the groundwork for some future success is awesome. Is there some place where I can send a poster of a kitty that says just hang in there?

Making fun of protesters is like booing at the Special Olympics. You can obviously do it, but sort of in bad taste. Maybe you should get a job at Fox News. I hear Glenn Beck’s favorite HJs are from snarky liberals. Your tears are a good lube.
“ad your mom” displays the hate that is present in the occupiers camp. They are mad, they are angry, and they lash out like a cornered cat when their ideas have been thoroughly debunked. The Occupiers should be made fun of. It was a ridiculous and hopeless action that was counterproductive. The strike that preceded it was undermined by the occupation. I love your Glen Beck/Fox News attacks. They are a great demonstration that you are out of ideas, even for a good Ad Hominem attack. I’m just waiting for Goodwin’s Law to take effect.
how do these people find your blog? I said offensive things for years and never had some random person show up and start saying mean, poorly thought-out things.
Also, how do you define “these folks” and “another action”? Does it count if one of the protestors participates in another protest? Or does the entire group have to occupy another building?

Oh el samayo, you gotta take a lesson from Mark and his making millions philosophy:
First: Google won’t index blogspot blogs, so you need a ‘real’ host for your blog.
Second: Write about (and link to!) things that a small, irritable community is passionate about.
Third: Include posts about products that are relevant to your life. E.g., fart tubes.
Oh, and fourth: have awesome comments from me. You already have that mostly covered, although I feel like my comments for Mark are somewhat more awesome.
